ANNARBOR, Mich.–The Michigan Shakespeare Festival is about to kick off with Julius Caesar, The Taming of The Shrew and The Seagull. Water Works. Meantime, Interlochen is producing King Lear with David Montee in the lead role.

It’s the season for Shakespeare. Water Works in Royal Oak will kick in the end of July with The Taming of The Shrew and Shakespeare in Love and War.

But it’s not all Shakespeare, of course. Kickshaw Theatre is premiering a play called Really this weekend. The Slipstream Initiative is amidst a run of Lysistrata. The Masopn Street Warehouse just opened a big production of Memphis. Intrinsic, a new theatre company, is producing The Pillowman at The Monster Box Theatre in Waterford. And The Dio Dinner & Entertainment in Pinckney is amidst a terrific production of Forever Plaid.
