WATERFORD TWP–Monster Box Theatre here is performing four performances of “I’ll be Seeing You,” a special show with music that marks the 75th anniversary of World War Two and Veterans Day.

The play, written by David Kiley, is based on the book, Writing The War: Chronicles of a WW2 Correspondent, which the author collaborated on. It is the story of Charles and Billee Kiley who met during Charles’s basic training in South Carolina in January 1942. The two met three times before Charles shipped out and courted through letters before marrying in 1944.

Charles’s war included covering bomber raids from England, the Normandy invasion and finally as a witness to the V-E Day surrender in May 1945.

The show includes music of the time, songs including “White Cliffs of Dover,” “I’ll Get By,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” and You Made Me Love You.” And there is a multi-media experience that helps tell the story of WW2 through the eyes and letters of two remarkable members of The Greatest Generation.

The show runs on Thursday, Nov. 16; Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18th, with start times at 7:30 PM. There is a show Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2PM.

Tickets are free to veterans, $20 at the door and $16 if order in advance.

The Monster Box Theatre is at 2529 Elizabeth Lake Rd., Waterford.
