Hello, Michigan; it's Wisconsin. The same thing has happened in our Milwaukee theater community, at the Skylight Opera Theatre. And I'd love to chat, even via email, with anyone with knowledge of the BoarsHead situation.
Thanks so much.

Here's some info: http://www.tuesdaysblog.com/search?q=skylight+opera+theatre.
I've been a professional director for more than twenty years, and I've seen this exact thing happen at several theaters I worked at. In every case, the theater had closed within three years. You can expect the same thing to happen to BoarsHead. A ship cannot stay afloat without a captain, and a board of directors cannot serve in that position. Without a leader, a theater will ultimately lose its way. Farwell, BoarsHead. Another victim of groupthink by people who think they know how to do things better -- but don't.
