"The Art of Listening in a 2-person Scene" - Steve Blackwood

Steve Blackwood is presenting "The Art of Listening in a 2-person Scene" on Friday, July 20 from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. at the Birmingham Unitarian Church, 38651 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills. The class is for adults and teens 16 years or older.

The special guest is writer/director V. Prasad ("Ocean of Pearls" and the upcoming "Considerations").

Listening to your partner will allow you to react naturally - no anticipating your lines or your reaction from your rehearsals. Actors fool themselves and think they're listening when they're really not, but they don't fool the camera or the audience. Moment-to-moment spontaneity leads to surprising yourself and the audience. Playing it real is the most important thing in comedy and drama.
