Posted: Nov. 14, 2012 at 9:45 a.m.

FERNDALE - This month, Go Comedy! celebrates GOvember with the fourth anniversary of "The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown," making it Detroit's longest running show, the opening of Go Comedy!'s fourth original holiday review, "North By North Pole," and the debut of "White Elephant" from the award-winning duo Joe Hingelberg and Travis Pelto.

Tickets are available now online at and in person at the Go Comedy! Box Office beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday - Sunday evenings.

Go Comedy! Improv Theater is located at 261 East Nine Mile Road in Ferndale.

Go Comedy! All Star Showdown
With a rotating cast of more than 20 of Detroit's best improvisers and a repertoire of hundreds of improv games, Go Comedy!'s signature show, "The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown" celebrated its fourth anniversary Nov. 9 with a weekend full of hilarious moments and amazing prizes. "The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown" has anchored the theater's weekly schedule since it opened in November 2008, making it Detroit's longest running show. Two teams of Detroit's best improvisers go head to head in an improv competition tailored to challenge their abilities, think on their feet and give audiences a roaring good time. The cast also plays for audience members who take home fabulous prizes when their team wins. It's a night of hilarious laughs and great times! Tickets are $15 for performances at 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights through Dec. 22.

North By North Pole
The holidays are a whirlwind of nonstop activity that pulls us in every direction. "North by North Pole" takes a fun and comedic look at that slightly disorienting feeling. Through a series of scenes and songs, Go Comedy!'s fourth annual holiday sketch show is a fun break from the holiday madness. Written by and starring Christa Coulter, Billy Crawford, Chris Diangelo, Michelle Giorlando, Jen Hansen and Bryan Lark, the original comedy is directed by Tommy Leroy & Pj Jacokes and will appear at Go Comedy! Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.

White Elephant
This Christmas, Go Comedy! invites you to unload your old crap on those you love most with "White Elephant" from the award-winning creators of "Wirelessless." Stephen Drummond is meeting his girlfriend's family - without his girlfriend. As he learns the Turner family traditions from little kid Sean and childish uncle Dusty, Sharon Turner deals with the fallout from her husband Norm's wave of brutal honesty. Truths are told, drinks are shotgunned and gifts are exchanged. "White Elephant" proves that you can't pick your family, but you can steal the best present. Written by Joe Hingleberg and Travis Pelto, this original comedy is directed by Bryan Lark and features Melissa Beckwith, Garrett Fuller, Hingelberg, Mike McGettigan and Pelto. Tickets ($10) are available now for performances Thursday evenings at 10 p.m. Nov. 29 - Dec. 27.
