DETROIT - Puzzle Piece Theatre will add a matinee performance on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. of its controversial production of Anthony Clarvoe's "Show and Tell."
"The production sure has people talking," said producing artistic director D.B. Schroeder. "The post-show conversations we have had with our audiences have been very thoughtful. We want to offer this Michigan premiere to as broad of an audience as we can. Our schedule only had evening performances, and we felt that a matinee could extend the impact that our production is having."
Come see the debut of Puzzle Piece Theatre with a production that Carolyn Hayes of EncoreMichigan.com says "most strongly asserts that it isn't afraid to stare down jarring subject matter."
"Show and Tell" continues through Sunday, Feb. 24. Thursday and Sunday evening performances are at 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday performances have an 8 p.m. curtain time. The newly added matinee on Sunday, Feb. 18 has a 3 p.m. curtain. Please plan to arrive five minutes prior to the listed curtain time, as late seating is not possible.
All performances take place at the Puzzle Studio, located inside Russell Industrial Center at 1600 Clay Street, Detroit 48211. Puzzle Studio is on the third floor of building 2, the one with the mural. Signs will be posted in the guarded parking lot to direct patrons, and the company will provide a helpful video at www.puzzlestage.org.
Tickets for "Show and Tell" are $15 and can be purchased at www.puzzlestage.org or reservations can be made by calling the box office at 313-303-8019.
The play contains mature content and is not recommended for those under 17.
