KALAMAZOO—A new Kalamazoo-based professional theatre company, Bare Backstage Productions, will make its debut in February with the Michigan premiere of Fifty Shades of Shakespeare, an hilarious and sexy performance featuring ten of Shakespeare’s steamiest love scenes performed by four actors; and the audience chooses who plays what role each night. This bawdy show blends classic characters with comedic improv to create an experience that is different every time!
The show premieres at the Kalamazoo State Theatre on Valentine’s Day, February 14, at 7:00 pm, followed by tango lessons and dancing with Erin & Doruk. Tickets are $35 per person at the door, or $60 per couple if purchased by February 13. The tour continues with two performances at the Acorn Theatre in Three Oaks, MI, 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Saturday, February 18; tickets are $20. Final performances at Louie’s Trophy House Grill in Kalamazoo at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 23 and two shows at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm on Friday, February 24. Tickets at Louie’s are $15 general, $25 VIP (includes preferred seating, free drink and gift).
