STAGED READING: Private Lives 03/25Buy Tickets
JACKSON—Elyot and Sybil are honeymooning in French hotel while Amanda and Victor are honeymooning in an adjacent suite. The two couples discover they are sharing a terrace… and a past as Elyot and Amanda are recently divorced and remarried to Sybil and Victor. What follows is a domestic comedy of spoiled lovers and reunited partners, jealousies and betrayals, and gloriously witty, hilariously funny Noel Coward rejoinders, in this staged reading of Private Lives.
Tickets are $25.00 per person and $40.00 per couple, with free admission for MSF members. Tickets are available online at michiganshakespearefestival.com. On Saturday, March 25 doors open 7:30 pm with the reading starting at 8:00 pm in Jackson Symphony Orchestra Hall, 215 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49201.
This is part of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival’s “Lend Us Your Ears” Reading Series, which offers audiences the opportunity to join MSF directors, actors, and artistic staff as they explore diverse and exciting plays. These script-in-hand readings feature MSF company members as well as prestigious guest artists. Each performance is followed by a talk-back discussion with the director and cast about the show.
