Based on hit songs by the British rock group Queen, We Will Rock You tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where globalization is complete and everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown. It’s up to a young Galileo, (played by second-year apprentice Quinn Moran), who hears in his head the ancient words and melodies from the past, and the cynical Scaramouche, (played by Barn favorite Samantha Rickard), to take back the music from the evil globalist corporation, Globalsoft. The show features many of Queen’s hits including “Play the Game”, “Somebody to Love”, “Killer Queen”, “Bohemian Rhapsody” and the title track.
