What A Do opens with “Peter and the Starcatcher” in September
SPRINGFIELD—What A Do Theatre’s opening production of its 2016-2017 season is Peter and the Star Catcher. Directed by Randy Wolfe, this musical production tells the story of Peter Pan’s journey to becoming the boy who would not grow up. Adapted by Rick Elice from the novel written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
A company of a dozen actors play over a hundred characters as poor orphaned child found, simply named Boy, meets Molly the daughter of a well known starcatcher Lord Astor, and is transformed into the Peter Pan. Through their journey they come across several whimsical characters that help them obtain their goal to protect magical star dust contained within a trunk from getting into the hands of evil pirate, Black Stache.
This production features Emory Eddy, Teri Noaeill, Joe Dely, Nick Wheeler, Christien Perez, Franklin Chenman, Lars Loofboro, Scott Whitesell, Stacy Little, Nicholas Mumma, Rachel Markillie and James King.
Regular priced tickets are $20 and all seating is general admission. Student, senior and military tickets are available for $15 and can be purchased with a valid student ID. Flex 5-pack passes or triple play can be purchased in advance to offer flexibility and savings up to 15% off single ticket prices.
