Wedding bells with laughs at Farmers Alley in June
KALAMAZOO—Farmers Alley Theatre cordially invites you to the musical farce, It Shoulda Been You at the Little Theatre on Oakland Drive, running June 9th-25th.
In a world where nothing is what it seems, religions collide, Machiavellian plots are revealed, promises broken, secrets exposed, and hope springs from the most unlikely of places. Is it the latest conflict in the Middle East? No, it’s just the Steinberg wedding. The bride is Jewish. The groom is Catholic. Her mother is a force-of-nature, and an ex-boyfriend just dropped in to shake up the proceeding faster than you can whistle “Here Comes the Bride”.
It Shoulda Been You will be led directorially and musically by Kathy Mulay and Catherine A. Walker, respectively, the same team that has helmed Next to Normal, The Light in the Piazza and Dogfight. They have assembled an amazing cast of top-notch local talent and out-of-town professionals, including DJ Bucciarelli, Gina Maria Chimner, Hal Hobson, Missy Karle, Rich Madelung, Michael Perlongo, Laurie Carter Rose, Steve Silver, Kianee Truvillion-Sims, Kendall VanAmburg, Zoe Vander Haar, Whitney Weiner and West Michigan favorite Ben Zylman (making his Farmers Alley Theatre debut) as the eccentric wedding planner.
Tickets are $35/$33 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday performances and $30/$28 on Thursdays. Call the box office at (269) 343-2727 or visit the website at www.farmersalleytheatre.com to make ticket reservations; group, senior and student rates are available.
