PLYMOUTH—Main Street Opera will give four free performances of their own production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute at their theater in the Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex January 13 and 14.

This space-age adaptation tells the story of the noble Prince Tamino, the heroic Princess Pamina, the birdman Papageno, the evil Queen of the Night, and her assistant, Three-headed Lady. The Magic Flute’s beautiful melodies and comical characters delight youngsters, while thematic points concerning facing challenges and learning to forgive generate thoughtful discussion.

This family-friendly production is just under an hour, and is sung in English.

Performances are free, but seats can be reserved in advance at www.mainstreetoperatheatre.org.
