YPSILANTI, Mich.–Spinning Dot Theatre launched in 2014, creates meaningful international theatre for kids and their families. For everyone, really. Through inventive storytelling often with music, movement, shadow puppets, professional actors, and more, we invite our audiences to think about our world.

The Mountain deals with anti-immigrant feelings from the lens of two eight-yearolds, a quiet Canadian boy and a spirited Arab girl, on a Canadian playground. The play is based in playful yet poignant realism between the two primary characters – highlighted with imaginary adventures that allows the banter between the children to deepen and transform not only their friendship, but their views of the world.

Through these beautiful and unique characters, Woolley is able to touch upon the universals of childhood, the need for home, friendship, otherness, and trust.

Tickets are available 30 minutes prior to each performance and are donation based. Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $5 for children – all tickets are first come, first served. Most enjoyed by children ages 5 and up.
