Water Works’ Shakespeare Royal Oak kicks off summer season 7/26
ROYAL OAK, Mich.–Keep watch over the next week as Starr Jaycee Park transforms into the Shakespeare Royal Oak stage! The 18th season opens July 26 and runs through August 5. Tickets are on sale now and good for any performance.
Three Great Shows.
Shakespeare’s beloved classic Much Ado About Nothing, opening Thursday July 26, with eight evening performances through August 5. The Daylight Show is a world premiere! The Comedy of Terrible Errors by Don Zolidis, runs four days, July 28 to August 4. Water Works Teen Ensemble, the popular high school experience, presents its version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with three shows July 28 to July 30.
Fun in the Park.
The theatre offers Michigan craft beer and wine during all of shows, plus fresh made popcorn and fun snacks. Concessions are cash only and please bring proper ID. We welcome you to bring your own picnic for outside the theatre area (no alcohol allowed there). You’ll find free and easy parking on Farley Field at the west end of the park. And be weather aware, temps might be higher during the day, but our night time shows are quite comfortable under the canopy of trees and the evening breeze!
