DMTC opens ‘Young Frankenstein’ March 29
DETROIT— Detroit Mercy Theatre Company (DMTC) presents the musical Young Frankenstein by Mel Brooks from March 29 – April 14, 2019 at The Marlene Boll Theatre on Broadway Street in Detroit.
Following the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate and travels to Transylvania seeking to unlock his family’s secrets of bringing the dead back to life. Watch as hilarity abounds when his science experiment escapes, and a monster chase begins.
Directed by Greg Grobis with musical direction by Daniel Greig, choreography by Mike Suchyta and assistant direction by Jamie Warrow, Young Frankenstein is performed by the Detroit Mercy Theatre Company. Fourteen student actors and five student crew members are joined by faculty, staff and professional guest artists Hayley Pulizzi, Conor Sullivan, Arthur J. Beer, and Kirsten Renas.
