Wishing Well Theatre presenting “Much Ado…”

Show Announcement September 15, 2021

Tickets are on sale now for the inaugural Fenton Shakespeare Festival, happening in Rackham Park (behind the Fenton Community Center) on September 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th

Come watch Much Ado About Nothing, one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies about love and deception under a blanket of stars in beautiful Rackham Park.  The play is being set in the golden age of the 1950’s, including your favorite music, dancing, and fashion from that era! The production boasts an esteemed company of award-winning, professional actors and is to be directed by former chair of the UM-Flint Theatre Department, Carolyn Gillespie.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide a means of safe, family-friendly entertainment to the community in a time when it is so desperately needed. Along with an incredible theatrical production, our event will also include live  music, art demonstrations from talented local artists, and delicious snacks and desserts provided by The Cheese Lady of Fenton!! If successful, we plan to make this an annual festival of fun and culture that will benefit community members of all ages, as well as local businesses in the downtown area.”  Rebecca Philippi, President of Wishing Well Theatre Inc.

Tickets range from $10-$25, and discounts are available when purchased in advance at Eventbrite.com.   Group rates can be negotiated, please email wishingwelltheatreinc@gmail.com to discuss. Festival dates are September 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th. Festival doors open at 6pm, the show begins at 7:30pm.
