PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER

Flint Repertory Theatre is seeking an experienced AEA Production Stage Manager for INTO THE WOODS. Rehearsals November 5 – December 5, 2019, Performances December 6-15, 2019. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years minimum experience as an AEA Production Stage Manager with the ability to think on their feet. Strong leadership and communication skills are required along with the ability to work well with a variety of personalities. The ability to pay attention to details and handle stressful situations while keeping track of multiple responsibilities is also necessary. Must be able to problem solve and anticipate problems before they happen. A thorough knowledge of the theatrical production process is required. Previous experience with SPT and TYA contracts a plus.

HEAD OF WARDROBE

Flint Repertory Theatre is seeking a Head of Wardrobe for the 2019/2020 season. Work with Costume Shop Manager, Costume Designer, Technical Director and Stage Manager to implement costumes into the technical and dress rehearsal process. Report to Costume Shop Manager and Technical Director. Attend technical and dress rehearsals and production meetings as required. Prepare costume plots and quick changes. Keep costumes clean and repaired at all times, notifying the Costume Shop Manager and Technical Director of any problems with wear and tear immediately. Label costumes prior to the first technical rehearsal. Ensure all costumes (fully laundered and repaired) are in the dressing rooms, on stage or in quick change areas by the half, or as requested by the Stage Manager. Arrange the set-up of quick change areas with the Costume Shop Manager and Technical Director before technical rehearsals begin, in coordination with the Stage Manager. Assist Company members to dress during the half if required, possibly assisting with the application of wigs, hairpieces and body make-up. Assist quick changes during performances. Ensure the Company is aware of the laundry and repairs routine and of their responsibility to protect their costumes as far as possible. Assist Costume Shop Manager in production strike after the close of each show. See below for production dates.

Previous wardrobe experience required. An organized yet flexible approach and calm under pressure. Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative. Ability to be creative and resourceful in problem solving.

This is a part-time/contractual position. Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience. PROPS DESIGNER/PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Flint Repertory Theatre is seeking a Props Designer/Production Assistant for the 2019/2020 season. Create a properties list and build, purchase and modify props needed for the production. Provide rehearsal props, as determined by the Stage Manager and Director. Coordinate with and the Technical Director regarding purchasing and construction needs for props, within the determined budget. Report expenditures to Technical Director on a daily basis. Attend all production meetings and technical and dress rehearsals. Coordinate with Stage Manager to arrange the set-up of props tables before technical rehearsals begin. Assist Company members with questions or needs related to props. Provide backstage assistance during all performances. Maintain props during the run of the production. Set and reset all props before and after performances, respectively, in coordination with the Stage Manager. Assist Technical Director in production strike after the close of each show.
