BMA Inc.

BMA, Inc. is an entertainment and arts company founded in Detroit by Daniel Bellomy, Marilyn McCormick and Harron Atkins. BMA is an entertainment and arts company committed to creating platforms for artists to create, inspire and entertain.  The foundation of BMA began 39 years ago at Lewis Cass Technical High School in Downtown Detroit through the Performing Arts Department under the teaching, mentorship and inspiration of McCormick.

For more than 39 years, McCormick was committed to educating young people throughout the inner city of Detroit, guiding them and encouraging them to move towards their dreams and aspirations. She’s led countless young people to study at the most prestigious universities and art conservatories nationally. The alumni base includes a variety of successful accomplishments from alumni on Broadway, to television, cinema to anchor men, lawyers and doctors all moving towards making a difference in society.

In  2013 Bellomy and Atkins, both alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University, joined together with McCormick, their former high school teacher. Inspired and driven to build a platform and a professional entertainment and arts community that produced work they could be truly moved by, where they could create work that was raw authentic and real, they created BMA. BMA Inc. operates as an entertainment and arts network. Our programs include theater, web-series, movies, music and a number of other social events. BMA is a platform for artists and professionals all over the nation to have a place where they can make a difference in the world – a place where they can always give back and be filled with purpose and inspiration in return. With our movement we create experiences not only for the audience, but for all of those involved. We seek to build, we seek to inspire, we seek to support a world where change and creation begins with self.
