Shop Floor Theatre Company

Founded in 2012, Shop Floor Theatre Company exists to create original and transformative place-based arts with and for people of all ages, experiences and backgrounds. We use community-centered techniques to provide expressive opportunities that encourage civic dialogue and engagement, and promote social and cultural awareness.

Support of our projects include the Ruth Mott Foundation, Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, National Endowment for the Arts, the Cook Family Foundation, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Arts of Citizenship at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and over 100 individual donors. SFTC also receives substantial community support with over 3,456 volunteer hours and 2,344 student contact hours so far this year.

Shop Floor Theatre Company is registered in the State of Michigan as a non-profit corporation. Shop Floor Theatre Company is a public charity exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c )(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Admission to performances is free.
