Hope Summer Repertory Theatre

Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, founded in 1971, provides a  unique blend of distinguished professionals and young theater artists from all over the country.  Those who are more experienced work with interns and young professionals to pass on important artistic values and practices over the course of the summer.

The company numbers over 100 annually, taking up residence in Holland for the summer. The company comes from all over the United States including Hope College students, alumni, faculty and staff as well as Equity actors, USA designers and directors.

From mid June to mid August, HSRT produces six to seven shows in repertory on three different stages: the DeWitt Stage, a 494-seat thrust space; the Knickerbocker Theatre, a renovated turn of the century 550-seat proscenium space; and the DeWitt Studio, a 135-seat theater in the round.

In addition to the mainstage productions, HSRT’s Children’s Performance Troupe (CPT) provides two theater productions as well as a variety of  workshops for children.
