Michigan Shakespeare Festival returns, but only performing in Canton venue

Show Announcement July 04, 2022

CANTON, MI–The Michigan Shakespeare Festival returns in the summer of 2022 after two dark seasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s offerings include Henry V, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Brandon Thomas’s Charley’s Aunt.

All performances will take place in The Village Theatre in Canton, MI, from July 19-to August 21. For the first time in the company’s 27-year history, there will be no performances in Jackson owing to damage done to the theatre in the summer of 2021 by fire, and the repairs are ongoing.

Jan Blixt and Robert Kauzlaric are directing this year’s offerings.
