TRENTON, MI—Open Book Theatre here is presenting Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberly, a story based on Jane Austen’s characters in her classic Pride and Prejudice, through December 17.

Georgiana Darcy is an accomplished pianist but wary of romance. Kitty Bennet is a bright-eyed optimist and a perfect best friend. These two younger sisters are ready for their own adventures in life and love, starting with the arrival of an admirer and secret correspondent. Meddlesome families and outmoded expectations won’t stop these determined friends from forging their own way in a holiday tale filled with music, ambition, sisterhood, and forgiveness.

Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley is co-written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon.  Original music by Jenny Giering, Directed by Wendy Katz Hiller. Featuring Anna Marck as Georgiana, Arianna Engnell as Kitty, Kryssy Becker-Krenitsky as Elizabeth, Joe Sfair as Fitzwilliam Darcy, Luciana Piazza as Jane, Annie Dilworth as Mary, Danielle Wright as Lydia, Tim Pollack as Henry Gray, and Henry Ballesteros as Thomas O’Brien. Scenic Design by Forrest Hejkal and built by Donald Corbin, Lighting Design by Harley Miah, Properties Design by Samantha Silva, Costume Design by Cheryl Zemke, Original Music by Jenny Giering, and Sound Design by Wendy Katz Hiller. Georgiana and Kitty is the final installment in the Christmas at Pemberley series. The great news is you don’t have to be familiar with the source material or the previous plays to enjoy this wonderful holiday show!

Performances are: Nov 24, 25*, and Dec 1, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 at 8pm
Sundays Nov 26* and Dec 3, 10, & 17 at 2pm. Sunday matinees are followed by a discussion with the artists.
