One The Market:

Charlotte – female, 40s-50s: Jewish American, raised in Israel (no accent)

– Diane, plus all other Female Roles – female, 40s-50s, any race

– Frank, plus various Male Roles – male, 40s-50s, any race

– James, plus various Male Roles – male, 40s-50s, any race


Bright Half Life

– Erica: Is “soft butch” and should be played by a Caucasian actress

– Vicky: Appears more traditionaly feminine. An African-America, Latina or Asian actress may play her

(Both characters age during the play, as it takes place at various points in their relationship between 1985 and 2031.)



– Meg Crane – female, 26: Graphic designer at Organon Pharmaceuticals

*THE CHORUS A 6 member chorus plays multiple roles throughout as follows:

– Chorus #1 – female, younger: Jody and others

– Chorus #2 – female, 30s-40s: Mary, Meg’s mother and others

– Chorus #3 – female, older: Meg’s grandmother, Sister Bernadette and others

– Chorus #4 – male, 30s to 40s: Martin, Meg’s father and others

Chorus #5 – male, 30s – 40s: Jack and others

– Chorus #6 – male, 40s or above: Ira, Bertie and Howard Moody

2 constrasting, contemporary monlogues combined time 3 minutes along with a current headshot and resume

Covid Protocols for In-Person Auditions

Do not arrive more than 20 minutes prior to your appointment to accomodate Social Distancing. You will not be admitted into the waiting room.

Masks must be worn to attend auditions. Two-ply cloth face masks, surgical masks, singer’s masks, and respirators (N95, KN95 or KF94) will be allowed for face coverings. Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable face coverings.

Actors may remove their masks when they are actively auditioning.
