Encore Michigan

Williamston Theatre to present Comedy in Billtown May 7 featuring Mike Geeter and four other comics

Show Announcement March 27, 2024

Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, presents the third evening in its new second-stage program, Comedy in Billtown, an evening of stand-up comedy. The performance is Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30pm and features five Michigan comedians. Tickets are on sale beginning April 2.

This Comedy in Billtown will feature Michigan comedians Louis D. Michael (also the evening’s Host), Michael Bussler, Jason Jamerson, Alexa Stanton, and Mike Geeter.

Louis D. Michael is childish at heart. His “edgy and not entirely well thought out” jokes, and stories will have audience members laughing to their surprise at some darker topics, cutting like a butter knife with an edge. He has been featured on NPR & Don’t Tell Comedy.

Michael Bussler is a stand-up comic based out of Grand Rapids, MI. In his eight years of experience, he’s worked with his hero, pro-wrestler Mick Foley, and he’s been a part of Laughfest several times. He even had a show at a high school lock-in! His act uses real life stories and quick jokes, so his humor is something that everyone can relate to. He’s the self-proclaimed “Second Funniest Person in Grand Rapids” and they call him Iron Mike. His new comedy special is “Michael Bussler: Live at Home!”

Jason Jamerson was voted Metro Times Best Comedian in Detroit, MI in 2020 as well as the Cleveland Comedy open winner in 2018. He has opened for big names such as Chris Redd, Tony Roberts, Barry Brewer and countless others.

Alexa Stanton grew up in a small, rural Michigan village where her fondness of corn and milk flourished. She began comedy in the Amazon capital of the world, Seattle, WA. After facing much ridicule for her name, Alexa returned to Michigan in 2022. Alexa continues to travel the States looking to tell tales of her outlandish life to fresh faces. You can find her viral hit series “Barefoot and Pregnant” on YouTube and her podcast “The Budcast” on all platforms.

Mike Geeter is a unique comedian who hails from Pontiac, MI. Despite being a dropout from an Ivy League, he is a proud graduate of a community college. His humor is an insightful take on current events, family, and relationships. Growing up in a family with 16 siblings and being a father himself, Mike’s comedy is a blend of sharp wit and a smooth delivery. He has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy venues and has had the opportunity to work with Kevin Hart, Tom Papa, Hannibal Burress, Natasha Leggero, Jim Norton, and Rickey Smiley, among others. Mike is a versatile artist who has been featured on Fox Television and Hulu’s comedy showcase “Laughs,” on the Detroit episode of “Kevin Hart Presents: Hart Of The City 2” on Comedy Central, and Mike’s comedy can be heard on SiriusXM.

The performance is on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 and available for purchase starting April 2 online at www.williamstontheatre.org or through the Williamston Theatre box office (517-655-SHOW). Box Office hours are 12-6PM Tuesdays – Fridays. Seating is reserved and will begin at 7:00pm. Comedy in Billtown will continue in the 2024-2025 season with four events planned.
