KALAMAZOO—A new staged concert byDetroit Music Awards winner Tracy Kash will premiere in Kalamazoo on March 29, 2025. Love, War and Jazz is a new musical by Detroit playwright and filmmaker Heather Buchanan that is based on a true story. Kash is the composer for this production.
“This musical is a highpoint of my career,” Kash said, “allowing me to explore a full range of musical possibilities to tell this story.”
Kash began her musical life as a classical musician. She received a Bachelor’s degree from University of North Texas and a Master’s degree from the venerable Boston Conservatory, in
orchestral music and music theory. Kash is an accomplished flutist, vocalist, composer, arranger,
and pianist.
Love, War and Jazz also features Detroit producer and director Grover McCants as the Emcee and vocalists Angela Celeste May and Smada Adams. Upcoming shows include Detroit, New York,
Cleveland, Chicago and Kansas City.
