Artists of the Way to open Bandstand on September 24
Grand Rapids, Michigan— Artists of the Way is honored to bring the powerful Broadway musical Bandstand to the stage; a story that celebrates the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women who have served our country.
At a time when the nation reflects on its history, freedom, and those who fought to protect it,
Bandstand offers a timely and deeply moving tribute to veterans and the journey home after war.
Set in the years following World War II, the musical follows a group of veterans struggling to
rebuild their lives as they discover healing, purpose, and brotherhood through music.
Filled with soaring big-band music, breathtaking choreography, and emotional storytelling, Bandstand shines a light on the unseen battles many veterans face while honoring the enduring spirit of those who serve.
This production marks another exciting chapter for Artists of the Way as the company continues its mission of creating meaningful, excellent, and thought-provoking theatrical experiences that bring people together.

Way. “As our nation celebrates its 250th year, we felt this was an especially meaningful story to
tell. ... Our veterans are real people, and need community, healing,
and hope as much as anyone.”

There will be a limited run of performances, September 24 - 26 at East Grand Rapids High
School, with evening and matinee options available. Ticket information will be released soon.
