After the sudden and tragic death of her older sister, Anna is no longer going on a much awaited road trip to Chicago to visit her sister’s new home. That is, until her childhood best friend Lucas decides to take her on a cross country road trip to the city to help her find closure.

Anna and Lucas learn much about each other during this road trip including the stages of grief and their desired career paths. Lucas is an aspiring novelist who has now been presented with the novel subject of a lifetime: Anna’s story.

The Good Ones is a powerful story—demanding answers of the human psyche during periods of grief and selfish emotional rubbernecking. Told in a non-linear plot with a healthy amount of banter: The Good Ones is a unique and refreshing take on grief.
