DETROIT, Mich. – Hold onto your butts! Jurassic Park: The Musical, the hilarious, high-energy parody of the beloved 1993 blockbuster, is roaring onto the Planet Ant Theatre stage once again after a sold-out 2025 debut. Fans of the original film — and newcomers alike — can expect chaos, dinosaurs, and show-stopping songs in this over-the-top comedic extravaganza.

WHEN: April 24–26, May 1–3, May 8–9

Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 3 p.m.

When greedy billionaire John Hammond invites a group of scientists and his grandkids to preview his groundbreaking dinosaur theme park, he promises a safe, controlled experience. But when the power fails and the dinosaurs break free… chaos, uh, follows.

“We wanted to showcase Jurassic Park’s nostalgia, but also poke fun at things, like the absurd

science, exaggerated character quirks, and the theme of unchecked billionaires wreaking havoc, which turns out is very topical nearly 32 years later,” said Nuverre Naami, director and co-writer, “and while we want to scratch the hardcore JP fans’ itch, we hope to have you laughing and singing, whether you’ve seen the movie or not.”

Featuring a cast of memorable characters, inventive low-budget effects, and a score blending

show tunes, electronica, soul, and pop earworms, Jurassic Park: The Musical delivers a night

of nostalgia, laughs, and just the right amount of existential dread.

“The score is a celebration of musical diversity, designed to surprise and delight audiences at

every turn,” said John Duffy, musician, “it’s an explosion of show tunes, electronica, soul and

pure pop earworms.”

The musical features 8 performances running April 24–May 9, with shows Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Multiple dates are expected to sell out.

Tickets can be purchased at planetant.com/events for $30 or $35 at the door. All

performances take place in the Ant Hall (Planet Ant Theatre)(2320 Caniff St, Hamtramck, MI)
